World-Class Lineup Announced for 5th Annual Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival

Aruba jazz
The fifth Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival will take place on October 7 and 8 with a pre-heating warm-up preceding the festival. Held at Cas di Cultura, as is customary, the event has grown to full adulthood through the years. This means that world-class performers can be attracted to the event and thus the 2011 edition will be filled with the names of enormously talented artists. Names like Angie Stone, Eddie Palmieri, Candy Dulfer, Richard Bona and Raul Midon will be the festival’s headliners without contest, but Cosy Cotton with singer Grana Louise is sure to attract a wide audience as well. Cosy Cotton is performing on Aruba for the fourth year now and, we can tell you, it makes the hearts of local and visiting blues fans beat faster!

Security for Our Trip to Aruba

For our latest trip to Aruba, we went with the Pacsafe system for the first time and loved it! Though it was not cheap, we will get many years use out of it and now that we have actually used it, knowing the security it provided, we feel that it was money very well spent. It served the dual purpose as a carry on for air travel to Aruba as well as beach bag each day.

This was dh's first time traveling with a backpack and he LOVED it. He will never go back to his wheeled carry on and separate computer bag EVER again. His Pacsafe backpack had a separate padded compartment solely for the 15" laptop. TSA security has always been difficult for him trying to juggle the laptop and this made it so much easier.

Radisson Aruba Renovations

Radisson Aruba
We have stayed at the Radisson Aruba five times now and it is by far our favorite Aruba resort. It is centrally located on Palm Beach and by far has the longest section of beach. We book our packages there through MCM Tours and they include the Radisson's breakfast buffet for two as well as, certain times of the year depending upon their "specials", a beverage credit.

Delta Air Fares to Aruba

Blogging to Aruba
C - O -M - P - E - T - T -I - O - N

Is the name of the game in air fares. For example, Delta's fares during the week, when there is no competition to Aruba, are astronomical.

If you fly on a day of the week during which Delta has competition from Spirit or Air Tran (soon to be Southwest)you will find a much cheaper fare. We have not been able to take advantage of Air Tran or Spirit's lower fares because we chose to stay more than 7 or 8 nights. As of right now, Air Tran and Spirit fly weekends only.
