A new and rather unique initiative comes from the management of the Aruba Coffee Roasting Company: together with its employees they spent a day working as volunteers at the Aruba Donkey Sanctuary. The volunteers of Aruba's Donkey Sanctuary have been taking care of their donkeys for years now: they feed them and they provide first aid when needed. Professional medical aid is given by Dr. Ricardo Contreras Oduber, who has a clinic in Noord. With a herd of some 130 donkeys there is almost always a reason to call for the vet.
