Join the Jolly Pirates’ “Save the Reefs” efforts

Kids learn first hand how we each can make a difference

Aruba Bound

ORANJESTAD, ARUBA October 13th, 2013– The underwater playground of Aruba’s reefs are a joy to visitors and considered a treasure to the local population, but it also represents home and breeding sites for reef fish as well as an important part of the overall marine ecosystem. Education continues to play a key role in helping to protect and preserve both Aruba’s marine life and reefs, and Jolly Pirates are helping to head that cause with its own “Save the Reefs” Bracelet Program. Funds generated from the program recently went to sponsor school kids attendance in classes on water safety, fish identification and responsible sailing and snorkeling.

Aruba Watersports Center

Aruba Bound
A few years back during one of our stays at the Radisson Aruba, we took our dd on a Discover Scuba dive, Scuba and the 10 year old, through Aruba Watersports Center. She was immediately enthralled with the sport. When we began our research to obtain her certification, we were looking for a similar type of experience with personalized service and one on one tutoring.

After doing a large amount of online research and communicating online with Aruba Watersports, we decided to reserve the Open Water Certification class with them. They were very prompt and professional in their emails and I was confident that it would be a good experience.

Strea Charters Review

Aruba Bound
Strea Charters

Strea only takes 8 people and this snorkel tour is an excellent value for the money for an intimate tour experience. Even if you do not snorkel, I would recommend this excursion for anyone looking for a leisurely boat ride along the mangroves of Aruba’s western coastline with turquoise waters all around.
