Delta Airlines Expands Service to Aruba

Aruba Bound
"Delta Airlines Expands Service to Aruba – La Guardia to Receive Additional Weekly Service in the Winter Season
July 28th, 2010
Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has received word from Delta Airlines that as of December 18, 2010 through April 30, 2011, air service to Aruba will be expanded with weekly service from La Guardia airport. Service will be on Saturdays only and Delta plans to utilize B737-800 aircraft comfortably seating 16 passengers in business and 144 in economy. The flights will conveniently leave New York’s La Guardia airport at 10:36 in the morning and arrive in Aruba at 17:30 in the late afternoon.

Delta Airlines expansion of service into Aruba underscores AAA’s (Aruba Airport Authority) focus on diversification within our gateways and AAA believes that Delta’s service perfectly compliments Continental Airlines’s service from La Guardia.

Continental utilizes the same type of aircraft and arrives earlier in the afternoon at 13:19. “We are delighted with the enhancement of Delta Airlines’s commitment to Aruba. “We look forward to welcoming the first flight of many flights from La Guardia by Delta Airlines. New York is an extremely important market for the destination and service from all three airports is vital to our success in the northeast area,” said Peter Steinmetz, AAA Managing Director."
