EPB Hospitality Students Host 3-Course Lunch Two times per week starting October 15, 2013

October 10th, 2013- During their graduation year, the students of the EPB (Educacion Profesional Basico), basic professional training high school, need to practice what they learned, while interacting with each other and clients in real-life restaurant situations. The Aloe Restaurant and its professional commercial kitchen is where these students train and invite the general public to enjoy a three-course lunch for only Afl. 25,00 per person [$13.97 USD], every Tuesday and Wednesday to work towards their diploma. Lunch is served every Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. starting October 15, 2013 until November 13, 2013 when they go on break for the holidays. The restaurant opens again on January 14, 2014 and closes March 13, 2014 which is at the end of the academic year.

In the kitchen, Chef Kenneth Blom and Chef Reynaldo Maldonado are swinging the spatula’s, while Mr. Fran├žois Maduro coaches the front of the house staff.

The Chef‘s, with extensive experience in the food and beverage world, truly enjoys what they do know, working with the enthusiastic students.

Together, the service and kitchen teams will deliver a great lunch. It will be a great pleasure for you to enjoy this opportunity and to get a glimpse into these ambitious young people’s future and to actively contribute to their training as the island’s future hospitality professionals.

The menu offers a nice trip around the world including Aruban, Italian, French, German and Dutch specialties, with one meal at the time. The selection for each day is set – except dessert, which depends on what the pastry class is making. If you are interested in attending lunch at EPB you can call Fran├žois Maduro at tel. 528-9791 ext. 152 for reservations and ask him for the menu of the day.. It is requested to make reservations four weekdays in advance, however, Mr. Maduro can be reached by phone to check seating availability if reservations are made in less that 4 days in advance. The EPB school and Aloe Restaurant are located across from the Aruba Aloe factory, with easy parking.

Please note that the teachers ask you to be on time, since this is a pre-scheduled class. In case of cancelLation, please be so kind to cancel one day in advance.
