Giving back to the community

Aruba Bound
A new and rather unique initiative comes from the management of the Aruba Coffee Roasting Company: together with its employees they spent a day working as volunteers at the Aruba Donkey Sanctuary. The owners of this special company, Frank and Sheri Tieleman, believe in the concept of giving back to the community and they urge their employees to do the same. As a 100 percent Aruban company they started at the Aruban Donkey Sanctuary as they view the donkey as a symbol of Aruban history.

The volunteers of Aruba's Donkey Sanctuary have been taking care of their donkeys for years now: they feed them and they provide first aid when needed. Professional medical aid is given by Dr. Ricardo Contreras Oduber, who has a clinic in Noord. With a herd of some 130 donkeys there is almost always a reason to call for the vet.
