Surpassing the 1 million seat capacity

ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is excited to share that 2018 resulted in another successful year in terms of Revenue Generating Passenger (RGP) figures for commercial passengers and flights. RGP figures for commercial passengers was up by 1.7% and RGP figures for commercial flights was up by 8.7% compared to 2017.

Additionally, Aruba Airport marked a major milestone in 2018 by surpassing the 1 million seat capacity mark for the first time in history. Aruba Airport is one of the busiest airports in the Caribbean region, with 29 different airlines contributing in processing over 2.5 million passengers per year.

A New Start for Tropicana Aruba Resort & Casino


Exciting times to start off the year, as Tropicana Aruba Resort & Casino is officially transitioning our resort to a new name:

Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino! We are changing all of our partner websites and our official property website is now www.eaglearuba.com. We are changing the name as Tropicana Entertainment officially sold all the properties and the name Tropicana in October of 2018, and we have until March to continue using the name and then we have to officially stop.

The Annual Donkey Walk

The legendary Donkey Walk, an annual highlight on the Donkey Sanctury’s calendar, is coming up. On Saturday, January 19 the famous 5 K walk will take place. This walk through Aruba’s gorgeous countryside will be accompanied by donkeys Diva, Igor and Simba; runners are also welcome to cover the distance.

The route starts at the Sanctuary at Bringamosa and will take participants via Boton, Jan Fleming and the Frenchmen’s Pass back to Bringamosa. There will be water and soft drinks along the way and at the finish there will be the customary fresh fruit courtesy of SuperFood.

The start of the Donkey Walk 2019 is at 5 pm; registration is possible starting at 4 pm - both at the Sanctuary at Bringamosa.

For just 10 florins per person, you will be able to support the good work of the Aruba Donkey Sanctuary and be active at the same time. Would you like to know more about the Sanctuary, volunteering or the annual Donkey Walk: please call 593 2933 or come by in person. You are very welcome!
